Development funding for new project

Justin has received research and development funding his his feature film SHOSHANNA. Funding was obtained through Creative Victoria’s Creator’s Fund, and will see Justin research and redraft the screenplay from first to second draft stage. See the media release here.

Best director

Justin recently received the best director award at the Sao Paulo Film Festival in Brazil, for his work on THE VISITOR. The film also screened at Shriekfest LA, San Jose International Short Film Festival, Liverpool and Jaipur International Film Festivals. It was also nominated for best short at the Tenerife Film Festival. 

Fractured Visions

At the recent Fractured Visions film festival in Cardiff, dedicated to quality international horror films, THE VISITOR was selected as one of only 6  short films to screen, and was also nominated for the best director award. It also got a small write up in Buzz Mag UK.

THE VISITOR @ festivals

THE VISITOR recently began its festival run with screenings at the Rhode Island International Film Festival and Hollyshorts Film Festival in Los Angeles. It also screened as part of a special forum on the transmission of intergenerational trauma at the Jewish Museum of Australia.       

THE VISITOR completes production

Short film THE VISITOR recently completed its production period with a shoot in suburban Melbourne. The film is presently in post-production, with a completion date coming very shortly. The film was financed by the City of Port Phillip, through the Cultural Development Fund, and the Besen Foundation.  Felicity Soper in The Visitor.

THE VISITOR receives production funding

THE VISITOR has received production investment from the Besen Foundation and the City of Port Phillip, through their Cultural Development Fund. The film is now in pre-production, and will film in suburban Melbourne in late September.      

Screenwriting Prize

Justin’s short film script for THE VISITOR recently won that Grand Prize for Best Short Film Screenplay at the New York Screenplay Contest

Echo Chamber web series launch

ECHO CHAMBER, the satirical web series has launched on Facebook, with episodes being released weekly. Episodes can be viewed at the project’s Facebook page
